CNC BENDING SET-UP / TEAM LEAD

Day shift: Monday-Thursday 6:30 am to 5 pm, Friday overtime as required.

Night Shift: Sunday-Wednesday 8:00 pm to 6:30 am, Thursday overtime as required.

Pay: $20 to $26 an hour depending on skill level

RESPONSIBILITY:

Protect

  • Acknowledge and assure all department employees have been properly informed and trained on workplace safety and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all department employees follow all safety measures and guidelines, policies and procedures.

Train

  • Responsible for assuring operators are properly trained to operate the equipment they will be using in each job.
  • Assure all department employees are working, following procedures, and taking precautions to assure 100% quality compliance production parts.

Inform

  • Communicate with employees and other leaders to meet workload, job specs, timing, and priorities.
  • Communicate with employees about continuous improvement of job processes and structure of all operations.
  • Communicate with direct supervisor regarding all jobs, workload, safety, disciplinary actions, shipping/receiving, and quality.
  • Assure proper steps toward corrective and/or disciplinary actions and follow proper procedures.

Machine Scheduling

  • Control and manage the workload, time scheduling, and processes of all production jobs on Machine 5 in the Small Diameter CNC Department to assure all machines are running at full capacity to meet workload and customer expectations.

Production

  • Responsible for 1stpiece inspection of all jobs set-up, as well as using time tracker to scan out finished jobs.
  • Maintain and control inventory of tolling and expendables and take proper steps for submitting tooling and expendables request forms.
  • Delivering parts and communicating with further process leaders to ensure correct and on-time delivery of parts to the next step/process/department/outside service.
  • Ensure accurate information is entered into SAGE 100 (set-up/production hours).
  • Responsible for reporting all scrap to the General Manager.
  • Responsible for equipment to be in proper working order.
  • Authority to stop production.

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to read and analyze blueprints.
  • 3 years minimum of CNC tube bending experience.
  • Knowledge of Premier and Light Speed preferred.
  • Ability to manage and communicate with employees in the CNC Bending Department.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Office, Windows).
