Job Summary
- Design, draft, check, update and modify part and/or assembly layouts including 3D models
- Design, draft, check, update and modify detailed part and/or complex assembly 3D models and 2D prints
- Measure sample parts and assemblies and design 2D prints or layouts based on the data collected
- Check prints and layouts made to sample parts and/or assemblies
- Import, control and utilize various 2D and 3D CAD file formats
- Design part and/or assembly change proposals
- Assist the machining department with creating CNC tool paths
- Communicate technical print and layout information to general shop employees
- Maintain layout filing system
Qualifications and Skills
- 2 years minimum experience in 3D para-solid modeling (parts and assemblies)
- Extensive experience with the latest version of Solid Edge or Autodesk Inventor (Both preferred)
- Experience in 3D CAD being proficient in modeling formed tubes and tube assemblies
- Ability to communicate technical information to others
- Ability to operate Adobe Acrobat X Pro to create and modify PDF files
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Windows
- Understanding of GD&T
- Proficient in SAGE 100 as required
